In Stars Hollow findet das "Festival der lebenden Bilder" statt. Dafür werden weltbekannte Gemälde von lebenden Personen auf der Bühne nachgestellt. Ausdauer und die Fähigkeit, still zu stehen, sind hier besonders gefragt. Leider hat Lorelai ihre Darstellung vor einigen Jahren verpatzt und darf nun nicht mehr auf die Bühne. Rory lässt sich etwas einfallen, um ihrer traurigen Mama den Wunsch doch noch zu erfüllen.
