A night patrol near the northern border of Mexico detects the erratic maneuvers of a car heading towards the US border crossing. Upon seeing the police cruisers, the vehicle makes a run for it leading to a high-speed chase in the fast lane. In the end, a search, the discovery of a weapon, and some drug samples known as "pictures" show beyond doubt that the driver is a drug dealer. The Triple Frontier region is one of the hottest routes for the smuggling of drug, weapons, and goods in South America. In Foz do Iguaçu, the border database flags a taxi attempting to cross, and agents pull it over for a quick check. In a hidden compartment under the steering wheel, they find a gun. Once the driver confesses, they confirm it's all a gunrunning attempt. One of the world's main drug trafficking routes goes through Colombia's major airport and controls there have been doubled down. A sniffer dog gives a clear indication on a man's luggage. During the search, the Police find three small bags that the passenger has allegedly bought used, and where they discover a cargo that will be difficult to account for. In Chile, a man who has just arrived from Colombia claims that he's travelling to visit his girlfriend, but he has no return ticket and in there's no record of his alleged partner in national databases. His story soon vanishes into thin air. so does his chance of entering the country.
